1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Canasta.now, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all visitors, signed-in users, and anyone else who accesses the service.

2. The Service

Canasta.now provides free, browser-based Canasta card games across 11 variants, plus a daily deal, leaderboards, and real-time multiplayer. No download or payment is ever required. An account is optional and only needed for features such as syncing your scores to the leaderboard across devices.

3. A Free Game for Entertainment, No Real-Money Gambling

Canasta.now is a free card game offered purely for entertainment. It involves no real-money gambling, no wagering, and no cash prizes. Scores, points, and leaderboard positions have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, and cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value. Nothing on this site is an offer to gamble.

4. Accounts and Google Sign-In

You can play everything as a guest. The only way to create an account is with Google Sign-In; there are no email-and-password accounts, and we never store a password for you. If you sign in, you agree to:

  • Be at least 13 years old to sign in and use account features
  • Use a Google account you are entitled to use
  • Keep your own Google account secure, since it controls access to your Canasta.now account
  • Not impersonate another person through your display name
  • Notify us of any unauthorized use of your account

5. Fair Play

Daily deals, leaderboards, and multiplayer matches only work when everyone plays honestly. You agree not to:

  • Use automated solvers, bots, or scripts to play games or submit scores
  • Manipulate scoring, timing, or the seeded-deal mechanism
  • Create multiple accounts to gain a competitive advantage on the leaderboard
  • Exploit bugs for leaderboard gain - please report them instead

Scores that appear illegitimate may be removed and the associated account may be suspended.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the servers or networks connected to the service
  • Upload or transmit any malicious code
  • Scrape or systematically harvest site content without prior written permission
  • Use multiplayer features or display names to harass, abuse, or spam other players

7. Intellectual Property

The service, including its code, design, game implementations, and written content, is owned by Canasta.now. The underlying rules of Canasta are part of the public tradition of the game; our implementations, articles, and branding are not. Site content is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

8. User Submissions

If you submit feedback, bug reports, or suggestions through the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content to improve the service. You retain ownership of anything you submit.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep Canasta.now available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled or emergency maintenance may cause temporary downtime. Gameplay statistics stored in your browser's local storage remain on your device and are under your control.

10. Limitation of Liability

Canasta.now is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or statistics, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. You may stop using the service and disconnect your Google account at any time.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page.
